Responsible Gaming
Version 1.0 | Last Updated: 17 August 2026
At Aztec Wins, gambling is meant to be an enjoyable and entertaining activity. We are firmly committed to promoting a safe gaming environment and to helping every Player maintain control over their gambling. This Responsible Gaming Policy forms part of our Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. Our Commitment
1.1. A Culture of Safety
We believe that responsible gaming is not merely a regulatory obligation — it is a core value. We embed Player welfare into every aspect of our Services, from the tools we make available to the way our support team is trained to identify and respond to signs of gambling-related harm.
1.2. Our Principles
Aztec Wins is guided by the following responsible gaming principles:
- Gambling should always be a form of entertainment, never a financial strategy or a coping mechanism;
- Players must be fully informed about the risks associated with gambling;
- Vulnerable Players, including those with a gambling problem and minors, must be protected at all times;
- Every Player has the right to access effective, easy-to-use tools to help manage their gambling;
- We will never exploit gambling-related harm for commercial gain.
2. Recognising Problem Gambling
2.1. Warning Signs
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or experience. It often develops gradually and can be difficult to recognise. The following checklist may help you identify whether gambling is becoming a problem for you or someone you know:
- Chasing losses: spending more money or time gambling in an attempt to recover losses, rather than accepting them;
- Preoccupation: thinking about gambling constantly, even when engaged in other activities or responsibilities;
- Loss of control: finding it difficult or impossible to stop gambling once you have started, despite wanting to;
- Concealment: hiding gambling activity, accounts, or losses from family members, friends, or colleagues;
- Financial stress: gambling beyond your means, borrowing money, selling possessions, or neglecting financial obligations to fund gambling;
- Emotional impact: feeling irritable, restless, anxious, or depressed when not gambling, or when attempts to reduce gambling fail;
- Neglecting responsibilities: allowing gambling to interfere with work, education, family commitments, or social obligations;
- Relationship damage: noticing that gambling is causing conflict, tension, or breakdown in personal or professional relationships;
- Escalation: needing to gamble with increasing amounts of money to achieve the same level of excitement or satisfaction;
- Escape behaviour: using gambling as a way to escape from problems, stress, anxiety, loneliness, or difficult emotions.
If you recognise two or more of the above signs in yourself or someone close to you, we strongly encourage you to seek support. Please refer to Section 6 for a list of specialist organisations that can help.
3. Player Protection Tools
3.1. Deposit Limits
You can set daily, weekly, or monthly Deposit limits on your Account to control how much you spend. Deposit limits take effect immediately when reduced and after a 7-day cooling-off period when increased, to ensure that impulsive decisions do not lead to harm. To set or amend your limits, log into your Account and navigate to the Responsible Gaming section, or contact us at [email protected].
3.2. Loss Limits
A loss limit caps the total amount you can lose within a defined period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once your loss limit is reached, your Account will automatically be restricted from placing further wagers until the limit period resets. Like Deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately and increases are subject to a 7-day delay.
3.3. Session Time Limits
You may set a session time limit to restrict how long you can remain logged in and actively playing during any single session. Once the limit is reached, you will receive a notification and, if you do not respond, you will be automatically logged out. You may also enable periodic reality check reminders that display the duration of your current session at set intervals.
3.4. Wagering Limits
A wagering limit controls the total value of bets you can place within a defined period. This tool works independently of loss limits and is particularly useful for Players who wish to manage the pace of their play.
3.5. Cooling-Off Period
A cooling-off period allows you to temporarily pause your Account for a short period of time — from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During a cooling-off period, you will not be able to log in, place bets, or access the Services. You will not receive marketing communications during this period. The cooling-off period takes effect immediately upon request.
3.6. Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is a more permanent measure for Players who feel they need a significant break from gambling. We offer self-exclusion periods of:
- 6 months
- 1 year
- 2 years
- 5 years
- Permanent (indefinite)
To request self-exclusion, contact our team at [email protected]. Self-exclusion takes effect within 24 hours of your request being confirmed. During the self-exclusion period, all marketing communications will cease, your Account will be locked, and any remaining Balance will be returned to you. Once self-excluded, you cannot reactivate your Account before the exclusion period ends. If you require support during your exclusion, please contact one of the organisations listed in Section 6.
3.7. GamStop — National Self-Exclusion
In addition to our in-house self-exclusion tools, we encourage Players based in Great Britain to register with GamStop, the free national online self-exclusion scheme. GamStop allows you to restrict your access to all participating online gambling websites and apps with a single registration. Visit www.gamstop.co.uk to register or learn more.
3.8. Account Closure
If you wish to close your Account permanently for any reason, please contact us at [email protected]. We will process your closure request promptly and ensure that any real-money Balance is returned to your verified payment method.
4. Tips for Responsible Gambling
4.1. Practical Guidance
We recommend that all Players observe the following guidelines when gambling online:
- Set a budget before you play and stick to it — only gamble with money you can afford to lose;
- Treat gambling as entertainment, not as a way to make money or solve financial problems;
- Set time limits on your sessions and take regular breaks away from the screen;
- Never chase your losses — accept that losses are part of the gambling experience and do not try to recover them in the same session;
- Avoid gambling when upset, stressed, or intoxicated — impaired judgment leads to poor decisions;
- Balance gambling with other leisure activities — do not allow it to become your primary form of entertainment;
- Check your Account history regularly to maintain an accurate picture of your gambling activity and spending;
- Talk to someone you trust if you feel your gambling is getting out of control.
5. Protection of Minors
5.1. Age Verification
Access to the Services is strictly restricted to individuals aged 18 and over. We operate a robust age verification process at the point of registration and may request additional documentary evidence of age at any time. Any Account found to be held by a person under the age of 18 will be immediately suspended and all funds returned in accordance with applicable law.
5.2. Parental Controls
If you share a device with children or young people, we strongly recommend using third-party parental control software to prevent access to online gambling websites. The following free tools are available:
- GamBan — blocks access to online gambling sites across all devices: www.gamban.com
- Net Nanny — comprehensive parental control and filtering software: www.netnanny.com
- Kaspersky Safe Kids — device-level filtering for children: www.kaspersky.com/safe-kids
We also strongly advise never sharing your Account credentials with anyone, including family members, and always logging out of your Account when your device is not in use.
